Church, Rise Up!
Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?
Esther 4:14
Do you ever wonder what your purpose in God’s kingdom is? What His will for your life is? Why are you here now – in this time and place?
All valid questions that I’m sure we’ve all had at some point in our lives.
Do you want the answers? I have them all;)
Let’s look at the book of Esther. Esther was no stranger to hardship and times of extreme despair. She was being raised by her cousin Mordecai because both her mother and father died. The bible tells us that she was lovely and beautiful. I believe today we would say “she was beautiful inside and out.”
Esther was picked to be part of the harem of young ladies from whom the King would pick his wife and she found favor in the King’s house and with the King. She became Queen Esther.
In just a short time, she went from being unknown to being Queen.
But she had a secret – she was Jewish. As we read on through the book of Esther, we see an evil man named Haman who wanted to kill all the Jews in the Kingdom. He was the King’s second in command. We see God’s providence in the book of Esther. She was positioned to help her people even if it came at the risk of her own life.
Mordecai told Esther that she had to reveal Haman’s schemes to the King to save their people. Esther was terrified but she did what she had to do and she approached the King unsolicited. She went into the palace and, again, she found favor. The King extended his golden scepter to Esther. God’s hand of favor was with Esther, her life was spared, and, she was able to reveal the evil plan and save her people.
What does this have to do with today? With me and you?
Much! We are God’s chosen and the elect people of the Most High. You and I have favor. We need to be the voice that rises up and saves our people from the fear that is engulfing too many.
The church doors are closed. People are isolated and not in fellowship with one another but you and I are where we are for such a time as this! Be the voice of calm, love and peace. Be Jesus.
The number one fear that’s plaguing people right now is the fear of death. You know what? We’re fearing something that has already happened. We already died! Paul tells us that we have been crucified with Christ.
I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me.
Galatians 2:20
Is the world seeing Christ Jesus right now?
Church, rise up and shout to the storm to stop. Storm, be still!! It has to listen to us. We need to stop praying for God to help us. Let’s stop asking God to stop this monster.
He cannot stop this storm because He’s given us the power and authority to do it. For Him to step in and stop it would be going back on His Word and He will not do that. Ever. His Word is above His Name. His Word is the ultimate authority. His Word is JESUS. And He gave us Jesus to live with and to become. He is in us and we are in Him. We are ONE with HIM. No separation.
Let’s be Jesus and speak to the storm.
This is God’s will for your life. This is why you are here in this time and place. This is your purpose in the Kingdom of God.
Church, rise up!
