“We belong to Jesus, and it’s our greatest privilege and responsibility as His followers to listen to His voice and do what He says. He knows how to get us where we need to go.”
Excerpt from “Your Beautiful Purpose” by Susie Larson
It is so very important that we know whose voice to follow in this crazy world of ours. The enemy is very real and always waiting to trip us up. He knows our weaknesses and goes after them with skill. He gets in our thoughts and makes us feel inadequate and unworthy. This is why it is so very important that we know whose voice to follow. Jesus warns us that the enemy comes to kill, steal and destroy. Whereas He comes to give us life – a full life (John 10:10).
Kill. Steal. Destroy.
I know which one I choose. Full life. Everlasting life.
How do you know His voice? You need to get in His Word. His Word will teach you His voice. If you don’t know where to start – get on your knees. Ask God to give you spiritual wisdom and insight to begin studying the Bible. Trust me, this simple request will open up wonderful promises of a full life. Once you start studying His Word, you’ll never want to stop. Continually ask God to fill you to overflowing. Guess what happens when you’re filled to overflowing? You overflow onto others. It’s amazing how God will begin to work in your life when you just crack open His Word so that you can learn to hear His voice.
The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out. When he has brought out all his own, he goes on ahead of them, and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. John 10:3-4
Dear God, Thank you for Your Word. Please continue to increase our desire to study Your Word. Continue to give us spiritual wisdom and understanding. Continue to help us hear Your Voice. Guide us. Lead us where you want us to go. Use us to do Your work on earth. Keep each of us in the Light and the Love that is only found in Your Son Jesus Christ. In His name we pray. Amen
Stay in the Light and the Love always,
