We are not alone.
When the prophet Elisha’s servant found out that the enemy’s army had surrounded him and Elisha during the night, he was terrified. However, the prophet was not afraid. He told his servant that they were not alone.
“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.” And Elisha prayed, “O Lord, open his eyes so he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha. 2 Kings 6:16-17
We, too, are not alone.
We need to ask the Lord to open our eyes so we can see. When we do, we’ll see that we are surrounded by horses and chariots of fire just as Elisha was. How awesome! Powerful!
We are surrounded by more of those with us than those with them.
When you’re walking through the dark valley, on all sides of that valley are warriors there to help you find your way.
We need to know they are there. Use your imagination and put yourself in Elisha’s servant’s shoes. What a precious gift our Lord gave to him ~ allowing him to see that they were not alone. And giving him the courage needed to stand still and not run.
He gives us that same gift.
Our job is simply to stand still. That’s all that God asks us to do. Stand still. Stand still and know that He is there. He has it all under control. We just need to stand still and let Him be Him.
Let Go. Let God.
The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still. Exodus 14:14
Be still in God and stay in the Light and the Love that is only found in His Son Jesus Christ!
