Strongholds must go to see true transformation.
For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.
2 Corinthians 10:3-4
We come before You asking for Your help in demolishing strongholds we’ve allowed to become barriers in our life. We ask that You create in us clean hearts and a renewed spirit. Help us get a revelation of who we are in Your kingdom ~ not who we are in this world. As we read Your Word, show us all those things that will help us in forgiving others and in not being offended by others.
Your Word is our truth to live by and Your Word tells us that we need to forgive others.
Therefore, help us to forgive as You forgive us. By faith in Your Word alone, we have been empowered to forgive by choosing to forgive. Help each of us realize it is not an emotion or feeling but rather a choice.
Thank You for being so good and faithful to each of us. Thank You for giving us Jesus as our firm Foundation and Rock. It is in His precious name we pray.
Today’s Transformation Tip
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
When we realize that we are not fighting against people (flesh and blood) but against the powers in the dark spirit world, transformation can break through like the morning sun. There are some common barriers that hold us back from the transformation that God desires for us.
Anger, fear, unforgiveness, and bitterness are just a few of these barriers.
We often will hold unforgiveness in our hearts against other people who have done something to hurt us. When we realize that the true fight is not with people but with the spirit world, it helps to set us free from those barriers.
If we allow incorrect thinking to settle in our minds, we see things through the incorrect lenses.
If we allow God to transform our thoughts with His thoughts, all of a sudden we start seeing things through the correct lenses and it all becomes clear and bright.
Here’s an example. If someone close to you betrays you, you have two choices. The first option is to allow hardness to develop in your heart and mind toward that person for what they did. Or the second option is to choose forgiveness with the understanding that the person is not evil. Maybe the person is someone you need to put at a distance from you but understand that God still loves that person just as much as He loves you. God asks us to love that person just the same as well. You do not have to love their actions but you are called to love the person.
It sets our heart free from barriers of unforgiveness and bitterness that can settle and take up residence preventing us from transforming into the person God created us to be.
Our hearts have to be free for true transformation. God will help you scrub it clean but you have to first give Him access. Get before Him today and open up.
Stay in the Light and Love always,
