Jesus said “You feed them”
But Jesus said, “That isn’t necessary – you feed them.” But we have only five loaves of bread and two fish!” they answered. “Bring them here,” he said. Then he told the people to sit down on the grass. Jesus took the five loaves and two fish, looked up toward heaven, and blessed them. Then, breaking the loaves into pieces, he gave the bread to the disciples, who distributed it to the people. They all ate as much as they wanted, and afterward, the disciples picked up twelve baskets of leftovers. About 5,000 men were fed that day, in addition to all the women and children!
Matthew 14:16-21
Jesus said “You feed them”
Jesus knows we are each at different stages of our faith walk. Yet, He still says “You feed them.”
Jesus knows that we each have unique gifts and talents. Yet, He still says “You feed them.”
Jesus knows that we have insecurities that we do not know enough or that we do not know how to speak. Yet, He still says “You feed them.”
What we need to realize is that we each have something that we can use to feed others. And when we step out in faith to share what little we have, Jesus multiplies our little to feed the multitudes!!
It can be…
- A gentle touch
- A hug
- Telling a stranger that God loves them
- Donating money to a family in need
- Paying for a stranger’s lunch
- A kind word
- Showing love even when we don’t feel like it
- Forgiving those who hurt us
- Teaching a Bible study
- Sharing God’s Word
- Prayer
- Offering to babysit for a struggling young couple
- Visiting an elderly person who is all alone
- Buying a cup of coffee for a friend who is going through a hard time
- Being present
- Sharing Jesus
The point is it can be anything. We don’t have to be theologians to feed God’s people. We don’t have to have scripture memorized to share Jesus. We just need to have a willing heart and let God do the leading. Ask Him every morning to put people in front of you who need to see Him today. Ask Him to use you to bless another. Ask Him to guide your steps and order your day.
Ask Him to use you.
Share whatever you have and I guarantee not only will He multiply it, but He will also use it to glorify Himself! Let’s make it our goal to glorify Jesus in all that we do. In all that we are. In all the we say. Let’s glorify Jesus today! Your one thing can change a life. God guides us to do things for others and all the time He has been preparing the “others” to receive the things that we do! His ways are so much higher than our ways. Let’s trust Him today to be our Guide. After all, Jesus said “You feed them” and He was talking to you and me.
Stay in the Light and the Love always,
Eva
