I want increase in life. Not just any increase but Divine Increase. I want all that God has to give me – and I know that it’s more than I can ever in my wildest dreams imagine.
I want more Grace.
I want more discernment.
I want more understanding of His Word.
I want more knowledge of His Word.
I want Spiritual eyes so I can see all that God wants to show me.
I want Spiritual ears so I can hear all that God wants to say to me.
I want to see others as Jesus sees them.
I want to see myself as Jesus sees me.
I want more Love.
I want more Holy Spirit.
I want more Jesus.
God is such a good and faithful Father that He desires to give us more.
Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of the heavenly lights, who does not change like the shifting shadows.
As we chase after the Divine Increase in life, all the other important areas of our lives will increase as well. More peace, more joy, more love, more light, more rest, more grace, more Jesus!
God, in His Sovereignty, knows He cannot give us all that He has for us at one time. We simply could not handle it all at once. I fear we would be like the Israelites in Exodus who couldn’t even stand to see the Glory of the Lord on Moses’ face. They made him wear a veil to cover the Glory for fear they would die.
However, when we aren’t even aware of it, God increases our capacity to receive all of His perfect and beautiful gifts. God spoke to me through these verses from Exodus and showed me how awesome He is:
I will send my terror ahead of you and create panic among all the people whose lands you invade. I will make all your enemies turn and run. I will send terror ahead of you to drive out the Hivites, Canaanites, and Hittites. But I will not drive them out in a single year, because the land would become desolate and the wild animals would multiply and threaten you. I will drive them out a little at a time until your population has increased enough to take possession of the land.
Do you see how truly gracious our God is? In the last sentence, God gives us the key. He increases us a little bit at a time so that we can handle all that He has to give us. Oh, if only the Israelites could have seen this truth. They missed out on so much by being afraid to see His Glory – Jesus Christ.
My friend, start asking God today to increase you a little at a time. Don’t forfeit all the wonderful He has for your life by not going deeper in your relationship with Him. Our God is a good God. He is the great I AM. Present tense! He is the same yesterday, today and tomorrow. Put your belief and trust in Him and see your life transformed.
Dear Father, Thank You so very much for all the increase in our hearts, minds and spirits. Thank You for taking care of us and loving us even when we are not aware of Your Presence in our lives – especially when we are not aware of Your Presence in our lives!! Teach us to rest in Your love as You prepare our hearts for more. We long for more Jesus. Prepare us and give us all that You have. In Jesus’ beautiful and holy name we pray. Amen.
Stay in the Light and Love Always,
