Jesus desires to give each of us perfect and good gifts.
I had a dream recently where God revealed to me His desire to give each of us good gifts – IN ABUNDANCE. In this dream, I was with a friend and we were attempting to pour an “invisible” substance into many, many empty vessels. We knew we were not doing a good job:)
Then came Jesus!
Jesus stepped in and took over the pouring. And as He poured, the vessels were filled completely yet He continued to pour. He poured and poured and the vessels were all overflowing – in a beautiful way! Then He looked at us and told us that these were all the good gifts that He desires to give to each of us.
Wow! He DESIRES to give us good and perfect gifts all the time – and in abundance!
And may the Lord make your love for one another and for all people grow and overflow, just as our love for you overflows.
1 Thessalonians 3:12
We put the “struggle” in our walk with Jesus. He wants to take the burden from us but we just continue to pick it back up and drag it around. He never promised that life on this earth would be easy but He did promise that He would never leave us nor forsake us. He also said that with Him all things are possible.
The impossible is possible with Jesus.
So why do we struggle so? I think that we struggle because we fail to accept all the good and perfect gifts that He so freely wants to give us. He desires for us to walk in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Jesus Himself walked in the full power of the Holy Spirit.
Then John testified, “I saw the Holy Spirit descending like a dove from heaven and resting upon him.”
John 1:32
If we could lean into the power and the gifts that He so desperately wants to give us, we would be able to walk as He walked. And we each need to learn how to lean into Him in total surrender so that we can have all that He wants to give us. It is so simple.
Today let’s each commit to simply rest in His Presence.
Let’s commit to seeking Him and being still before Him. He will give us all that we need to do all that He asks us to do. We simply need to surrender.
I hope this word speaks to your heart as it speaks to mine. There’s a new hunger in my heart to seek all that He has for me. I commit my life to seeking His Presence and His goodness.
Stay in the Light and the Love Always,
Eva
