For a deeper walk with God, seek Him with a pure heart♥
And Elijah said to Ahab, “Go, eat and drink, for there is the sound of a heavy rain. So Ahab went off to eat and drink, but Elijah climbed to the top of Carmel, bent down to the ground and put his face between his knees. “Go and look toward the sea,” he told his servant. And he went up and looked. “There is nothing there,” he said. Seven times Elijah said, “Go back.” The seventh time the servant reported, “A cloud as small as a man’s hand is rising from the sea.” So Elijah said, “Go and tell Ahab, ‘Hitch up your chariot and go down before the rain stops you.'”
1 Kings 18:41-44
Elijah was a man just like us. He prayed earnestly that it would not rain, and it did not rain on the land for three and a half years. Again he prayed, and the heavens gave rain, and the earth produced its crops.
Elijah had absolute faith that God would bring the rains.
He heard the sound of the rain before it even formed. I’m certain he “heard” it with spiritual ears. God wants us to hear with our spiritual ears as well but it is our responsibility to fine tune that hearing. Elijah prayed and didn’t cease praying until the rains came. When we have faith in a promise from God, we need to pray without ceasing. We need to speak it as if it were already done! After all, it is already finished as soon as God speaks the promise. We just need to be patient and wait on His timing.
His way is always perfect. His timing is always perfect.
He wants us to earnestly seek Him and all other things will come our way. Spiritual hearing and sight. Increased faith. Increased love, joy and peace. God’s discernment, knowledge and wisdom in abundance. Who wouldn’t want these things? They are all yours when we are obedient in seeking His presence more than we seek anything else.
Stay in the Light and the Love Always,
