Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living. The LORD God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.
The Lesson – starting with Adam and Eve . . . and ending with Jesus.
These two verses tell us the story of Jesus! We need to look for Jesus in the entire Word of God. After all, Jesus is the Word (John 1:14). Eve is the mother of all mankind – including Jesus. After Adam and Eve fell from grace, God loved us so very much He had to “redeem” us back. Here in the Garden of Eden, God made the first sacrifice that shows us how He intended to “redeem” us from the fallen state of sin. He sacrificed an animal to provide clothing for His children in the Garden. He covered them because of their sin just as He covers you and I. With His precious Son Jesus.
When we fall from grace, we are covered!
How awesome is that good news? Jesus Christ became the ultimate sacrifice – once for all – to cover all of us for our sin!! Do you see Jesus hidden in the verse above? It is a foreshadow of how He became our garments. If you look, you will find Jesus hidden throughout the entire Word just like we see here in the Garden of Eden.
Let’s find the hidden Jesus.
As we study His Word together, we will all be amazed at how it is living and breathing. It will speak to us and it has the power to change our very lives. For the better! Let’s get the Word deep in our hearts so that we can stand firm when we face trials and temptations.
I hope you are as encouraged as I am by this calling God has for us as we dig deep into His Word!
Stay in the Light and the Love always,
