Pull up a chair at the table. You’re invited!
“Don’t be afraid,” David said to him, “for I will surely show you kindness for the sake of your father Jonathan. I will restore to you all the land that belonged to your grandfather Saul, and you will always eat at my table.”
2 Samuel 9:7
Dear God,
Thank You for today. Thank You for inviting us to eat at Your table. Your grace and love for each of us is so amazing. Thank You for seeking us. We thank You for not leaving us where we are and thank You for always taking us deeper into who You are.
As we read Your Word, continue to show us Jesus from cover to cover.
Your ways are so much higher than our ways. Your Word reveals the Savior of all if we will only look.
You show us kindness even though we do nothing to deserve it ~ especially though we do nothing to deserve it. You are so merciful and true ~ You are Truth and we praise Your name! Give each of us a deep sense of urgency to share Jesus with everyone. We each need a heart for those who are lost and in despair without hope. Show us those people and give us the boldness and words to speak to reach their heart. As we realize that it is not about us but about Jesus, You can use us in mighty ways in Your Kingdom. We thank You for all that You are doing through each of us.
We pray and lift up the powerful and mighty name of Jesus Christ.
Amen♥
Today’s Transformation Tip
After that, Aaron raised his hands toward the people and blessed them. Then, after presenting the sin offering, the burnt offering, and the peace offering, he stepped down from the altar. Then Moses and Aaron went into the Tabernacle, and when they came back out, they blessed the people again, and the glory of the Lord appeared to the whole community. Fire blazed forth from the Lord’s presence and consumed the burnt offering and the fat on the altar. When the people saw this, they shouted with joy and fell face down on the ground.
Leviticus 9:22-24
In the Scripture above, the people were shown glimpses of the Lord’s presence. We have the privilege of having God’s very presence within us every minute of every day. When we realize the gift we have in hosting His presence, only then can we learn to live the life He desires for us.
This is reason for great joy!
We host the presence of our Lord Jesus Christ! We should be like the people in the verses above – shouting with joy and falling face down on the ground in awe of His splendor. Spend some time in prayer today praising God for His ways. He CHOSE to be in us. And He CHOSE for us to be in Him. It’s truly something that is hard to understand in the flesh but in the spirit we can celebrate and be amazed!
Be mindful of this truth as you go through your day today and tomorrow and the day after that. Stop and give thanks as often as you think about this truth.
This thanksgiving and truth will transform your life.
Stay in the Light and Love always,
Eva
