Thankful
Being thankful is a life choice.
I wear a bracelet that has the word “thankful” on it. I don’t wear it for others to see. I wear it so that I see. I want my life to echo this one word. I want my words and my thoughts and my actions to echo this one word. I want this one word to define who I am. I am thankful.
You see, when you live most of your life without God in the center and then you experience a shift and all of a sudden God IS the center, you can no longer be the same person. For that I am thankful.
When you experience in the depths of your soul your complete unworthiness (in a good and holy way), you can no longer be the same person. For that I am thankful.
When you know that Jesus died just for you and when you can feel the pain and agony He endured deep in your heart, you can no longer be the same person. For that I am thankful.
When you open your eyes and see all the wonderful godly people that God has surrounded you with, you can no longer be the same person. For that I am thankful.
When you cry out to God and you know that He is there. You hear His gentle whisper and He takes your concerns and worries and comforts you, you can no longer be the same person. For that I am thankful.
When you get before Him in prayer and all of a sudden you are so overwhelmed with His presence you cannot even speak, you can no longer be the same person. For that I am thankful.
When your husband looks at you differently and recognizes that you are a different person and loves you even more because of Jesus, you can no longer be the same person. For that I am thankful.
My life goal is to share this passion with everyone. This passion to know Jesus. This passion to know the Holy Spirit. This passion to know the Father. We forfeit so very much when we don’t let God into our lives. The temporary fun this world provides is no comparison to the knowledge of Christ.
When you share Jesus with others and see their lives transformed, there’s no comparison in this world. For that I am thankful.
Let go and let God!
Dear Father,
Thank You for Your divine existence. Thank You for being so grand and mighty. Thank You for seeking us and not leaving us where we were. Thank You for taking us deeper into Your presence. Into who You are. Thank You for teaching us and guiding us in all truth. In Jesus name we pray.
Amen♥
Stay in the Light and Love always,
Eva
I love this!
Thanks!!
Eva, this is beautiful. I’m really trying to cultivate thankfulness and sometimes–okay, a lot of times–I forget. 🙁 But this is an excellent reminder. I’m sharing. 🙂
I have found that by being thankful, I worry less!
Thankful for my friend Eva.
